Assign drawing information to the 3D model using AI

„Explicitly prepare implicit information: Close the information gap between 3D models and 2D drawings!“

Our specially trained AI analyzes technical drawings and identifies valuable Product Manufacturing Information (PMI). This information is automatically assigned to the 3D model and is thus digitally available for further processes in design and manufacturing.

  • AI-supported recognition of tolerances, fits, and thread specifications
  • Increase the accuracy of manufacturing cost calculations based on the CAD model
  • Automate feasibility analyses
  • Model-based definition: valuable contribution to implementation
  • Create an uniform data basis for end-to-end digital processes, e.g. digital twin

You will learn this in the webinar:

  • What efficiency gains result from the intelligent linking of 3D models and 2D drawings

  • How you can gain transparency about future manufacturing costs and identify potential savings as early as the design phase

  • Why our AI-powered solution is the perfect foundation for end-to-end digital processes

I look forward to welcoming you!

Is crucial manufacturing information missing from the 3D model?

Our simus classmate software solves this problem – and saves you the hassle of manually transferring drawing details. Automatic drawing recognition is based on artificial intelligence and takes place in three steps:

  1. Analysis of technical drawings to identify annotations
  2. Evaluation of dimension line data in the drawing
  3. Assigning the annotations found to the corresponding surfaces in the 3D model

This creates an enriched 3D model that contains all important manufacturing information – shape/position tolerances, surface finishes, and thread information. It thus serves as the leading source of information for downstream processes and contributes to the model-based definition approach.

The expanded information base enables extremely precise cost calculation as early as the design phase. This allows you to identify cost drivers at an early stage and take targeted countermeasures – for informed decisions and optimized products. The enriched data also comes into play in digital manufacturing, e.g. in digital twins.

The webinar will give you a non-binding overview of the functions of our drawing analysis. The webinar is free of charge.
