Who is simus systems?
Since 2002, simus systems is the software expert for efficient management of technical mass data, classification of CAD data and calculations alongside design.
For the purpose of classification of CAD data, simus systems developed the only solution worldwide which is patented. Since then, over 300 projects have been successfully implemented for about 200 clients.
simus systems is an independent German company based in Karlsruhe. simus systems is well-connected within the industry and provides 100 per cent of the technical know-how inhouse.

Can I use the modules individually?
Yes. You can use the simus classmate modules individually as well as combined with each other. The order of introduction can be chosen freely for the major part.
What is costing24?
costing24 calculates the manufacturing costs of your parts online – only using the CAD model. costing24 can be used in the browser without local installation. The logic of the calculation is based on our experience of over ten years from projects with our classmate PLAN calculation module.

Does simus classmate work with AI methods?
No. simus classmate works with rule-based algorithms. This set of rules has the distinct advantage that it can be adjusted centrally and retraced at any time.
Is simus classmate multi-lingual?
Yes. The user interface is available in English and German. In the software contents, we implemented all requested languages and representations.
How strong is the software performance?
We are an expert for processing and analyzing large amounts of technical master data for articles and materials as well as CAD models which are no longer manageable by Excel lists or manually. The more data is cleaned, has to be classified or structured, the more it is worth to use the rule-based approach. Even datasets in the six or seven digits are not a problem for us. The system architecture is scalable and can therefore be used by bigger companies with multiple sites.
What size does my company need to have for me to benefit from simus classmate?
There is no minimum size for a company as such. The scalability allows for simus classmate to be used as a smart solution for your company depending on the module.
What are the system requirements?
The system requirements depend on the use case.
Will my original data be changed?
No, not necessarily. Our software complements your main data management system, e.g. SAP, by adding options for data maintenance. If and how data is changed is up to you to decide in a defined process.
Does simus classmate have to be the main data management system?
No. The main data management system remains in place. We comply with your requirements, processes and conditions within the project.
Why should I install simus classmate as an addition in the company?
simus classmate works in line with the current ERP, PLM and CAD systems and complements them with convenient solutions for data management and for the calculation manufacturing costs. By defined processes and the significantly higher data quality, the company’s efficiency can be increased in many aspects.
Does simus classmate replace a PDM or ERP system?
No. simus classmate does not replace a PDM/ERP system which provides administrative or organizational information but enhances such a system by convenient solutions for data management and calculation of manufacturing costs.
